Digital Marketing
This programme will be delivered over a 12-month period (September to September) and is aimed primarily at learners interested in acquiring a highly practical level 9 qualification in Digital Marketing practice and strategy.
Digital marketing permeates through every industry sector and career progression in any organisation will require graduates to have not only skills in their relevant fields but also the digital marketing skills to operate effectively in the modern workplace.
This programme is built on a multidisciplinary foundation, with a focus on data analytics, software implementation and marketing using new disruptive technologies and is set against the backdrop of the global nature of business in the 21st Century.
Software Design With Artificial Intelligence
Ireland’s reputation as a centre of software excellence is unrivalled in Europe. It is home to multinational and indigenous firms generating €16 billion of exports annually. The sectors wide-ranging activities include software development, R&D, business services and EMEA/International headquarters.
As computers become smarter Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making strides in simulating human thinking. Creating computer systems that automatically improve with experience has many applications including robotic control, data mining, autonomous navigation, and bioinformatics.
This course provides a broad introduction to machine learning and statistical pattern recognition. Students will learn about both supervised and unsupervised learning as well as learning theory, reinforcement learning and control.
Software Engineering
The aim of this programme is to provide an opportunity for computer professionals and engineers to enhance their knowledge and expertise in areas of current active research and development in software engineering. Participants gain exposure to the various techniques for performing academic research. The course also aims to provide an environment in which the participant is exposed to new technological developments, to ethical and social issues affecting the computer industry, and to the requirement to uphold general professional standards.
Nursing In Leadership And Quality Healthcare
Why take this course?
This programme aims to:
1. Provide a stimulating and challenging academic and scholarly environment for students who wish to advance their academic and professional development.
2. Enable students to develop a mastery of complex and specialised knowledge, with a critical awareness of issues at the forefront of nursing.
3. Develop conceptual knowledge and advanced understanding of how techniques of enquiry enable the critical and objective analysis, interpretation and application of research and scholarly evidence.
4. Through completion of a dissertation, challenge existing knowledge and facilitate the development of new ideas and ways of thinking.
Science In Agile Software Design
This Level 8 Award is specifically designed to up-skill graduates with:
The technical skills to build software applications that can be deployed to the cloud in an agile manner.
Knowledge of the tools and methodologies needed to develop and deploy software applications.
Experience of working in teams to deliver a project and preparation for the workplace.
A predominant theme of this programme is a focus on industry standard certifications and open source tools so that graduates are prepared for the workplace.
Biopharmaceutical Technology
TUS has successfully produced highly employable biotechnology graduates at NFQ level 7 and 8 since the programmes were initially offered in 1996. The Master of Science/ Postgraduate Diploma (MSc/PgD) in Biopharmaceutical Technology builds on the expertise and industry links TUS has developed over this time. The programme was conceived in response to significant job opportunities within Ireland’s large and expanding biopharmaceutical sector. In addition to lectures and laboratory sessions at TUS, and site visits to local biopharmaceutical plants, students on the MSc/PgD will receive practical training at the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research & Training (NIBRT) in Dublin.
NIBRT is a replica of a functional bioprocessing plant, equipped with all of the manufacturing equipment you would expect to find in a modern bioprocessing facility (for example, upstream, downstream, fill finish and bioanalytical facilities). The NIBRT placement will allow students to gain hands-on experience of the processes involved in biopharmaceutical production.
Software Design With Cloud Native Computing
Cloud-native applications are designed to capitalize on the scalability and flexibility of the cloud. In contrast to traditional monolithic applications, cloud-native applications are built using multiple, independent microservices that are deployed in cloud environments. Cloud-native development takes an agile approach to creating new applications. Using a DevOps-based continuous delivery model, software development teams can quickly, iteratively and automatically add new features to an application. The course will provide students with both theoretical and practical skills to develop software systems which use Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) in order to run applications on servers that can be flexibly provisioned on demand.
