The MA Journalism is designed to give you a professional qualification to work as a journalist in the fast-paced media industry. You will take part in an intensive, 12-month training programme in print, digital, broadcast and multimedia practice as well as gain important contextual understanding about the contemporary world of journalism. Core modules include Journalism Bootcamp, Global Media and Society, Social Media and Digital Production, and Multimedia Newsdays, and Media Innovation. You can choose from a suite of specialisms including Sports Journalism, Reporting Economics and Politics, Investigating Miscarriages of Justice, long-form feature writing, and Data Journalism. You will learn in a dedicated digital newsroom and new state-of-the-art broadcasting facilities, with opportunities to undertake internships at local and national media organisations.
