Key Enabling Technologies

Enabling technologies are recognised by the European Union to be the building blocks for future product and process solutions which address many challenges facing society. The following are the six key enabling technologies (KETs): • Photonics; • Advanced Materials; • Industrial Biotechnology; • Advanced Manufacturing; • Nanotechnology; • Micro-/Nano-Electronics. Europe’s future competitiveness depends on how its future labour force can master KETs. This MSc programme provides hands-on experience to enable students demonstrate their research potential using KETs in advanced manufacturing.
