Mathematics and Education

This course provides a unique opportunity to pursue a four-year, full-time honours Mathematics degree, which incorporates a highly regarded teaching qualification. • Graduates of the course are recognised mathematicians and are also recognised by the Teaching Council of Ireland as qualified second-level teachers of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. • This is the only available four-year undergraduate degree in Ireland that offers a concurrent degree-level qualification in both Mathematics and Mathematics teaching.
