This course will give you a solid foundation in the chemical sciences, and you’ll develop excellent lab skills in our well-equipped laboratories. This course will educate and train you to become a scientific analyst in the medicinal products and pharmaceutical sector, as well as related chemical industries. It will give you a solid foundation in the chemical sciences, together with a hands-on approach to laboratory work. Access to well-equipped laboratories supports the development of a high standard of practical laboratory skills. Specialised and industrially relevant modules in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical processes and/or the regulatory environment of the pharmachem sector are delivered at all stages. The course is designed so that you’ll develop the skills and competencies required of a chemical analyst at all stages. On graduation, you’ll be qualified to avail of opportunities in the pharmaceutical, chemical, computer and food & beverage industries, state laboratories, environmental testing laboratories, and hospital labs and universities. Or you can progress to ordinary and honours degree courses in TU Dublin.
